Baer is recovering from a career in the financial industry. She moved to the Jersey (USA) shore and suddenly friends, relatives, and acquaintances began knocking on her door. All summer - except the summer of 2020 when no one stopped by. No one visits the shore during the gray days of winter, so she writes.
